In January, we booked 3 day trips with Yvonne and Bassirou. It was a fantastic experience, allowing us to make combination trips with them by mutual agreement. Everything was taken care of to perfection. We loved their fine warm personal approach. On our next visit to Senegal, we will definitely call on them again.

We found Yvonne and Bassie's guidance and explanations very informative. The Mbour fish market was particularly impressive! The visit by horse and cart to the village and school was also fun to do. For the kids, it was an added bonus that Yvonne gave explanations in Dutch. Highly recommended!

We are in Senegal for 1 week and this for the very first time. Nothing was familiar to us here...but what a privilege to go out with Bassirou for 2 days! We saw and heard a lot! #hankful

A thousand thanks to Bassirou and Yvonne for the fantastic experiences during the trips in Senegal! Via whatsapp I got an immediate response from Yvonne. Very handy that it could be done in Dutch. She also gave us lots of tips before leaving for Senegal. Bassirou was always ready on time at our hotel Riu Baobab and also informed us via whatsapp. We booked quite a few excursions and they were all really worthwhile. The Bandia park, the Somone peninsula, the fish market in M'Bour, the Delta du Saloum, the shell island, the largest baobab, seaside resort Saly, the desert of Lompoul, the capital Dakar and Goree island. The private excursions were just a bit more expensive than via tui in group but oh so personal and well worth the price. Would you like to stop somewhere extra or get through a bit faster? Is your child hungry and looking for a cosy restaurant? You can choose it all yourself and Bassi takes care of it. We spread our visits nicely over our 14-day stay. Bassi is a very friendly and nice man. Our 9-year-old son had a lot of help from him during these 4 days we were on an outing. He is good with children and spoke to our son in English. My husband also in French. You can ask him anything about the country or what you encounter and he takes into account your interests. In short, Senegal has more to offer than just bright sunshine and luxury hotels.

In January, we had the opportunity to go on a great day trip under the expert guidance of Bassirou. Exploring the Saloum Delta and then the island of Fadiouth was a very nice experience. Nice to also really get a picture of Senegal. The accompanying stories and information were enlightening. In short, we can only recommend this. An added bonus is that you can communicate in Dutch to make arrangements.

At the end of January, we were in Senegal for the 4th time. So we know the ropes and are a bit tired of booking the same trips every time with TUI. Now we were planning to visit Dakar. No sooner said than done and we set off with Bassirou, our fanatic guide and driver. We spent the entire day visiting Dakar city under his expert guidance. We intensively visited the Grand Mosque, the Kermel market, the small bazars, Independence Square and so much more. On the return trip, we stopped at Sally and Warang's new church. For the last two weeks of September, we had the chance to explore Senegal, and it became an unforgettable experience, thanks in part to Yvonne and Bassie. Together, we visited places like the shell island, the historic slave island, Somone, the two-day trip in the Lompoul desert, Saint Louis, Toubacouta - and so much more. Since we travelled outside the tourist season, we were often among the locals. This gave us the chance to experience the real Senegal, without the tourist crowds, which made it extra special. We got to know two great people, Yvonne and Bassie. Their love for the country and knowledge of the culture made every day something special. We got to know the Senegalese as incredibly warm, hospitable people. Despite often living a simple life, they share with such openness.
