Toubacaouta

Is located on the Sin Saloum delta.

During the trip there, we may also stop in Palmarin and visit the Keur Samba Dia market.

After arriving at our hotel in Toubacouta, we will visit the village with a guide,we will visit a school,hospital,market,local crafts and we will see crops they grow.

We sail by pirogue among the mangroves, visit a shell island and an authentic fishing village called Sipo, run by a very old woman.

The huts still consist of straw and there is no electricity.

Their income comes from fishing and seafood.Here are also very nice

Baobab trees.

At dusk, we sail past a small island where mss thousands of birds come to feed.

Dinner at our hotel or local restaurant.

After breakfast we sail towards the ocean,the river widens and the islets are more and more

further apart.We disembarked at the islet of Ile aux boeufs and Ile aux oiseaux.

From the completely isolated village of Béteni, we step into the forest where we enjoy

of fauna and flora .

Opportunity to visit the Fathala Wildlife Reserve

Fathala is 5 km from the border with Gambia.There is a wildlife park and a lion park.

You can visit the park with your own car or your own 4X4 a guide is mandatory.

The lions are kept in a separate area and, for a fee, one can visit with

walking the cubs.

Near the park is a very nice hotel but pricey.
